Coco had colostrum, so the puppies got the essential immune establishing milk. But she didn’t have regular milk. So over the night, every two to three hours, I have been tube feeding. Corrie was kind enough to teach me how to do it and set me up with the essentials. It is hard to tell if Coco has milk yet because the puppies keep hanging on to them. They must be getting something.
Coco is doing great. She came out of the anesthetic fine and has been eating pablum with goats’ milk all night. In fact, she has polished of a litre of the milk.
